When national political figures begin to woo Jewish leaders, can the Presidential election campaign be far behind? Evidently not to California Governor Jerry Brown who is due here this week for a series of events that will include what informed sources described as an “informal meeting” with some top Jewish leaders. The meeting, which according to the sources, will be chaired by Howard Squadron, president of the American Jewish Congress, will afford Jewish leaders who are unhappy with President Carter to chat informally with Brown, who has said that he would like to make a bid for the Presidency in 1980.
