The Soviet Jewry Research Bureau (SJRB) of the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported that 1,155 Soviet Jews arrived in Vienna in April. Charlotte Jacobson, SJRB chairman, noted that the trend in Jewish emigration continues d downward “despite contrary rumors at the time of the Communist Party Congress, in February.”
