The Soviet press today gives prominent space to the death of Lord Melchett. “Izvestia,” displaying the news on the front page, characterizes Melchett as a great leader in industry and politics, who was among the first Englishmen who tried to bring about cooperation between capitalists and laborers.
“Pravda” charges Melchett with upholding the recent dumping campaign against Russia. None of the Moscow papers of today mention Melchett’s services to Zionism and world Jewry.
