The statement issued by the Colonial Office this afternoon placed the number of Jews Killed in Safed at 10 and the number of wounded at 29. Two Moslems were killed and 4 were wounded in the disorder.

The statement further declared: “Our armed forces held all important centers from Safed to Beersheba and in this area the situation is reported quiet. It is reported Bedouin tribes in Sinai. Syria and Transjordania are threatening to March on Palestine and some have already crossed the frontier. The Royal Air Force and armored cars were sent to deal with the situation. All aircraft of the fleet air army carried by H. M. S. “Courageous” were landed at Gara.

A statement issued by the Colonial office on Sunday declared: “Latest reports from Palestine state that all is quiet and that the situation on the Transjordanian fronder shows definite improvement. The High Commissioner for Syria is arranging to reorganize and reinforce the French military dispositions on the southern Syrian frontier to prevent armed bands of Arabs from entering Palestine.”
