The Student Conservation Association is gearing up to send its first-ever kosher crew to a state park. Six students will leave July 27 for a four-week park preservation program at Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown, N.H. The program will focus on the Jewish concept of tikkun olam, or repairing the world, and will allow the students to keep kosher and celebrate Shabbat on the trails while they clean them up.
