The two Israelis recently arrested in Cyprus for spying were monitoring an Islamic terrorist organization that was planning an attack against Israel, according to European intelligence sources quoted in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated the official Israeli denial that the two men were spying on Cyprus or were acting on behalf of Turkey.
