The U.S. House of Representatives is planning to hold hearings in mid-September to investigate how European companies are responding to charges they profited from dealing with the Nazis. The hearings, which will cover artworks, unpaid insurance policies, slave and forced labor, and the plundering of Jewish assets, are slated for Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, just before a Sept. 16 hearing in New York on the same issues.
