The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Stuart Eizenstat as deputy treasury secretary. Eizenstat, who has served as the Clinton administration’s point man on Holocaust restitution issues, is expected to continue in that role as he assumes the No. 2 slot at the Treasury Department.
