The U.S. State Department is calling on Iran to end its support for terrorist groups. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said Wednesday that the U.S. relationship with Iran will depend in part on the government ending its support for groups engaged in terrorism, including those that oppose the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Iran long has supported Hamas and Hezbollah.
