The U.S. Supreme Court declined without comment to hear an appeal from a Jewish lesbian who says the state of Georgia broke a law when it withdrew a job offer after learning that she was planning a Jewish commitment ceremony with another woman. A lower court had ruled that there was “considerable doubt” that she “has a constitutionally protected right to be `married’ to another woman.”
