The United Nations’ chief nuclear watchdog is expected to visit Israel. Officials would not discuss the agenda for the July visit by Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, calling it routine. ElBaradei recently has stepped up calls for Israel to sign the U.N. Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and open up its atomic reactors to international inspection, calling this an important step toward ridding the Middle East of weapons of mass destruction.
