The United States put forward conditions on how it would treat Middle East resolutions that come before the U.N. Security Council. During a closed Security Council meeting last Friday, U.S. Ambassador John Negroponte said the United States will only consider those resolutions that explicitly condemn Palestinian terrorism and call on Israel and the Palestinians to pursue a political settlement, a U.S. official told The Associated Press.
