The wife of a Manchester Jewish businessman Sunday denied a report that her husband, Davoud Alliance, was sheltering Shapour Bakhtiar, the former Iranian Prime Minister, who disappeared after the Islamic revolution in Teheran. She told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the report on Teheran Radio, that Bakhtiar was staying at their home, in Cheadle, Cheshire seemed to be an April Fool’s Day hoax. Alliance is chairman of the Vontona Textile Corporation and a generous supporter of the Joint Israel Appeal.
