The work of Maurice Stern, the Rogers-Kennedy memorial to the pioneers, was unveiled and accepted by this city yesterday, on a site selected by the sculptor. Mr. Stern, former New York City newsboy, explained that he chose the site because it conformed perfectly with the theme of his work. The work is of panels in relief, topped by two bronze figures of a man and a woman with hands upon a plow. It has been placed at a junction of two much travelled highways, one mile from the City Hall.
