The World Jewish Congress presented the United Nations with studies on Jewish refugees from Arab countries. In testimony to a subgroup of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, the WJC presented one study on the “ethnic cleansing” of the Jews of Iraq in the years after the founding of the State of Israel in 1948, and another arguing that the work of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency ensures that Palestinians remain refugees.
