Theodore Levin Named Chief Federal Judge of Michigan District

Judge Theodore Levin, a United States District Judge since 1946, has been named Chief Federal Judge of the Eastern District of Michigan. Judge Levin, who is now 62, will hold the chief judgeship until the age of 70.

A native of Chicago, Judge Levin has long been active in Jewish affairs in Michigan and has served as president of the United Jewish Charities.
