The ninth congress of the World Maccabi Union, Jewish sports organization, decided today to hold the Third World Maccabiade (Jewish Olympic games) in Palestine in the Spring, 1939. The congress pledged to continue its fight for the regeneration of Jewish youth and to introduce a basic system of physical and cultural education within the movement. Lord Melchett, British industrialist, was unanimously re-elected honorary president.
