Thirteen Jewish graduates of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, who won ensign’s commissions at the annual-commencement exercises here, received inscribed Bibles from the National Jewish Welfare Board at a Jewish baccalaureate service preceding the graduation ceremonies. Commander Joshua L. Goldberg, acting district chaplain of the Third Naval District, made the presentations. Rabbi Martin J. Zion, of Temple Beth-El, Great Neck, officiated.
