The Toronto Hebrew Free School observed the Chanukah Festival by presenting an elaborate Chanukah program before an audience of more than 1,000 people. One of the outstanding features of the program was the presentation of a play, “Chibath Zion” (“Love of Zion”). The play was written and directed by Rabbi Bert. I. Treiger, educational director of the school.
