The Albert Einstein Medical Center has been brought into legal existence here by a decree signed by Judge Curtis Bok, President Judge of Court of Common Pleas No. 6, after a hearing as City Hall.

The decree approved Articles of Consolidation of Jewish, Mount Sinai, and Northern Liberties Hospitals, which united to form the Medical Center. The State Department of Welfare had already approved the step, and Judge Bok’s signature gave the Medical Center corporate reality. The three hospitals simultaneously became divisions of the Medical Center, continuing their work without interruption.
