Three Jewish leaders have been named by the Polish Ministry of Public Administration to a commission which will become responsible for all assets left in this country by the Joint Distribution Committee when it suspended operations on Dec. 31, 1949. The major assets of the J.D.C. here are sums totaling hundreds of millions of zlotys lent the Jowish cooperative movement and the Bank for Productivization.
Two of the Jews, J. Lazebnik and More Bitter, are officials of the Central Jewish Committee of Poland, which now functions in an advisory capacity to the Ministry of Public Administration, administrative agent for all Jewish organizations in the country. The third member of the commission is Dr. A. Drukier, general secretary of the Jewish Religious Congregations.
