Three more victims were added to the list of those who lost their lives in the earthquake which rocked Palestine last July.
A house which was cracked during the earthquake in July, fell yesterday, killing three persons.
The anniversary of the birthday of the late Morris Lasker, pioneer and philanthropist of Galveston, Texas, who died in 1916, was observed at the Lasker home for homeless. The eleemosynary institution was a gift of Mr. Lasker. Dr. Henry Cohen delivered the memorial address.
Mr. Lasker was the father of Albert D. Lasker, of Chicago, former shipping board chairman who recently contributed $1,000,000 for research work.
Mrs. Samuel Rosesohn and Miss Florina Lasker, daughter of the late Mr. Lasker, are national chairmen of the Council of Jewish Women, Miss Lasker acting as chairman of the council’s immigrant aid committee.
