A united drive against Nazi and subversive propaganda activities in the United States has been launched by three additional branches of the Federal government in cooperation with the investigation being conducted by a Congressional committee, it was learned today.
For the last few weeks, Representative John W. McCormack, chairman of the committee investigating subversive propaganda activities, has been conferring with officials of the three leading departments of the Government in an effort to impress them with the seriousness of Nazi and similar activities in this country.
As a result he and his committee has been assured of the cooperation of the Department of Justice, the Labor Department and the State Department.
INVESTIGATIONS SEPARATE
Separate inquiries will be carried on by each agency. Each inquiry will deal with different phases of Nazi and foreign propaganda activities in this country. All information, however, will be coordinated by the McCormack committee.
