The New York Times today editorially attributed “The Problem of Palestine” to “the revolt developing throughout the Arab world.” The editorial asserted that “while Jewish colonization, imperial policy and fascist fishing in muddy waters are all irritants, the real Trouble lies deeper. We are witnessing again in Palestine the boiling up of one crater in a smoldering volcano of Arab nationalism.”
