New York’s famed Times Square was renamed “Workmen’s Circle” for today to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Jewish fraternal order. Mayor Robert F. Wagner today designated Sunday as Workmen’s Circle Day and a celebration of the anniversary will be held in Hunter College Auditorium on Sunday afternoon.
