A series of Torah convocations (preaching missions) for Jewish personnel at U.S. Air Force installations in England, Germany, Spain and Turkey will be conducted next month by Rabbi Aryeh Lev, director of the Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy of the National Jewish Welfare Board. The convocations are part of the Air Force program for providing religious instruction and services for personnel of all faiths. Participants are excused from military duty for two day periods.
During his five-week tour abroad, Rabbi Lev will meet with Jewish Air Force men and their families for informal discussions of religious subjects and their application to military life. He will also conduct religious services.
