The seventieth birthday of Peter Wiernick, editor-in-chief of the Jewish Morning Journal, will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 29, with a testimonial dinner at the Broadway Central Hotel.
A special Wiernick Jubilee Committee has been established to arrange the banquet at which leaders of the Jewish community and representatives of numerous Jewish organizations will be present.
Mr. Wiernick, who is a noted historian, is considered one of the outstanding editorial writers in the field of Jewish journalism. He is exceptionally well informed on all subjects concerning Jewish life and international politics. Mr. Wiernick is also an active member of the executive of the Joint Distribution Committee and takes an active interest also in the work of numerous other organizations.
