The Women’s Conference for Palestine Land Redemption, in its session yesterday at Temple Emanu-El, paid tribute to Adolph S. Ochs by passing the following resolution:
“Whereas, the Women’s Conference for Palestine Land Redemption has heard with deep sorrow of the death of the founder of the “Times” and the great leader of public thought, Adolph S. Ochs, be it resolved that we plant one hundred trees in the Washington Forest Jewish National Fund land in Palestine, as a tribute to the memory of this great son of Israel and one of the most outstanding figures in American public life.”
