An increasing number of Christian children are being adopted by Jewish parents, Jerome Diamond, executive director of the Toronto Jewish Family & Child Service, reported at a meeting of the Children’s Aid Society of Metropolitan Toronto.
“We’ve arranged more adoptions in the past two years than ever before in our history,” Mr. Diamond said. “The children are almost all from Christian mothers willing to place their children in Jewish homes, because they cannot find places elsewhere.”
