A book on the Schwartzbard case, containing a record of the trial and important material of the Ukrainian massacres as its background, will be issued soon by Henri Torres, Schwartzbad’s counsel.
M. Torres returned yesterday from a tour in Belgium, where he lectured on the anti-Jewish pogroms in the Ukraine. King Albert, who was invited to one of the lectures, sent a message regretting his inability to be present.
The book is to include in extenso Torres’ pleas before the Court of Assizes, much of the evidence of witnesses who were not called, the testimony of Heinrich Sliosberg, Dr. Goldstein and Professor Langevin, as well as Schwartzbard’s letters written to friends from his prison cell.
