The transfer of refugee yeshivoth in Rome, Stockholm, Belsen and Shanghai to Palestine was discussed today at the Keren Hatorah conference here, which is meeting as part of the world Agudas Israel conference.
Rabbis from these cities who urged the move also asked that the schools be financed to carry or their educational activity and that priority be given the students in obtaining certificates for immigration into Palestine. The establishment of yeshivoth in South America was also called for and rabbis were asked to volunteer for the work of creating a Jewish religious life there.
