The Transjordan Frontier Force, which has been involved in several clashes with Jews, the most serious of which occurred on Oct. 6, at the colony of Kfar Giladi, when seven Jews were wounded, has been ordered to return to its bases on the Palestine-Transjordan border, it was announced today.
At the same time, military authorities disclosed that Army and R.A.F. officers in Southern Palestine have been instructed to carry arms at all times, and to limit the leave of soldiers in their commands. Civilian employees of the War Department, meanwhile, were issued curfew passes as a precaution against the imposition of a curfew at any time.
The Palestine police force, which, together with the military, is responsible for maintaining order in Palestine, is to have an air arm, the Arab newspaper Falastin reports.
