Dr. Saul Tschernichowsky, Hebrew poet who translated the Kalawala, Finnish national epic, into Hebrew, has been invited to participate in the festivities which are being arranged here for February when the centenary of the final editing of the work will be observed in a national celebration, it was learned here today.
Translators of the Kalawala into other tongues have also been asked to attend. Articles dealing with Tschernichowsky, his poetry and his Kalawala translation are appearing in the press.
