The Treasury Department today cited a number of Jewish congregations and groups throughout the country for their activities in fostering the sale of United States Defense Saving Bonds.
Among those mentioned in the Treasury statement are the Congregation Ezra Bessaroth in Seattle; the Loop Orthodox Synagogue in Chicago; the Jewish Peoples Committee chapter in Providence Rhode Island; the Nathan Marks Lodge of the B’nai B’rith in Knoxville, Tenn, the Bayonne Hebrew Benevolent Association in Bayonne, New Jersey; the Toledo chapter of the B’nai B’rith and a number of other organizations.
