A certificate “for distinguished services rendered” in behalf of the National War Savings Program was presented yesterday in Omaha, Nebraska, to Henry Mensky, national president of B’nai B’rith, by Leon J. Markham, Nebraska State Administrator, War Savings Staff, on behalf of Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morganthau, Jr., according to word received today at B’nai B’rith headquarters.
The presentation was made in recognition of what the War Savings Staff called B’nai B’rith’s “great, concrete contribution to the winning of the war” through the organization’s nationwide record of $19,000,000 worth of war bonds sold through B’nai B’rith-sponsored, initiated or conducted rallies, auction sales, house-to-house campaigns, and other sales techniques.
