A slight tremor was felt throughout Israel this afternoon causing slight damage to some houses in Tel Aviv, Netanya and Hebron. The only injury reported was an Arab woman in Hebron who was slightly hurt when she fell from the roof of her house.
The tremor was felt at 3:10 p.m. and the loud noise from paintings falling from walls and windows shaking caused many people in Tel Aviv to run for the streets or into air raid shelters. Police cars had to be sent into some areas to calm the public. The tremor also set off alarms in automobiles. The epicenter of the tremor appeared to be somewhere under the Mediterranean which meant the coastal area felt the shock to a greater extent than other areas.
