The second day of the trial of 80 anti-Semitic peasants accused of having set fire to Borscha last July when many Jewish homes were destroyed was limited to a further examination of the defendants. Petre Timis denied all the charges against himself and Constantin Danila. Mihail Grigore admitted some of the charges concerning the disturbances in Marmarosch. Ion Petcu also confessed to having been the guide of the anti-Semitic leaders and the intermediary in their correspondence.

A number of the lawyers for the defense insisted upon calling as a witness M. Juga, the police prefect of the Marmarosch district.
