The Sigma Chapter of Delta Phi fraternity at Trinity College here, announced today it had severed ties with the national organization because of the parent body’s policy of discrimination against Jewish and Negro students. The Trinity College chapter pledges Jews and Negroes to membership.
Earlier this month, Trinity College delegates to the national fraternity’s convention proposed the elimination of the policy, but were voted down.
