Former President Truman was honored at a dinner in Beth Israel Synagogue here last night for his services to the United States, Israel and humanity.
In an address to the dinner, Mr Truman criticized the Administration for leaving the major aspects of its Middle East policy to be worked out at the United Nations. “We cannot hide behind the skirts of the United Nations or duck the responsibility of having some policy of our own for the settlement of the conflicts in the Middle East,” Mr. Truman declared.
