Jacob Ankri, the Tunisian Jew who was accused of blinding an Arab during the disturbances in Tunisia, was released from prison where he had been held for two months, it was learned here today.
The release followed representations by the French authorities to the Moslem tribunal which heard the charges against Ankri.
