Turkey and Italy today called for the services of Israel’s leading plant pathologist, to aid their respective citrus industries. The scholar is Dr. Israel Reichert, Hebrew University Professor Emeritus of plant pathology.
Dr. Reichert was invited by Turkey to conduct a study of that country’s citrus groves, and report on conditions and means for combating plant virus diseases there. After completing that study, Prof. Reichert will go to Italy, where he has been invited to lecture at the Universities of Rome, Bariand Naples.
