A subsidy of £500 toward the support of the boys’ and girls’ Jewish schools in Galata was granted by the Ministry of Education, according to an anouncement in “El Timpo.” The Ministry informed the Jewish community of Galata that it would make this grant to the schools.
The Ministry of Education subsidizes the schools of other minorities, according to their importance, the paper adds.
