The United Nations resolution calling for internationalization of Jerusalem remains Turkish policy on this matter, a spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry declared here in comment on a report from the Jordan held sector of Jerusalem that Turkey was now supporting the Arab viewpoint on Jerusalem.
The Turkish spokesman noted that the recent presentation of credentials in Jerusalem by British and American envoys does not reflect any change in policy by London and Washington in reference to the status of Jerusalem. He further called on Israel and Jordan to abide by the UN resolutions on the city.
