The electrification scheme for Jerusalem contemplated under the concession obtained by Pinchus Rutenberg is being hindered because of an old concession granted in Turkish times to M. Nafromato, a Greek. The latter’s concession includes the supply of electricity for light and tramways which is covered also in the Rutenberg project.
The Turkish concession has for some reason not yet been voided.
