Salomon Adatto, Jewish member of the Turkish parliament, today joined a group of leading Jewish organizations here in protesting the distribution of “Bomba-Salomon,” an anti-Seritic weekly. The protest was occasioned” by the circulation of a special edition of the publication devoted entirely to libellous articles against Turkish Jews. The special edition was circulated in all the major cities of this country.
At the same time, the disputed British motion-picture, “Cliver Twist,” which was banned recently in Turkey as well as in other European countries, has been exhibited in two principal theatres in this city, without any notice of a lifting of the ban, A protest against showing of the movie made “by the Jewish community here has brought no response from government authorities.
