Views on the situation of the Jewish population in Turkey were expressed by Izmet Pasha, Prime Minister of the Angora government, in an interview with a representative of the “Guide for the Orient.”

He urged, however, that the Jews in Turkey abandon the Ladino language which their forefathers brought from Spain and adopt Turkish as their mother tongue.
