Twenty Jewish overnight camps in the United States and Canada were awarded the first grants presented by the Foundation for Jewish Camping. Most of the $200,000 in grants will bolster efforts to recruit, train and retain staff. The 7-month-old New York-based foundation will also support a Jewish heritage video collection and the publication of a directory of Jewish camps.
