A joint dinner for the benefit of Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies and the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities will be held December 8 at the Hotel Astor by fruit and produce merchants belonging to the two organizations.
The yield from the affair is expected to be at least $20,000.
Robert S. MacCormack, chairman of the Brooklyn Federation’s fruit and produce division, said yesterday:
“This will be the first time our business will conduct an affair, the proceeds of which will be divided between the two Federations. That fact alone should make this affair a notable one.”
