Two German Jews who fled the Reich as refugees returned there this week as officers in the United States Army. They are Lieut, Ernst Kaufman, who was imprisoned at one time in the notorious Buchenwald concentration camp, and Lieut. Edgar Holton. The two officers are probably the first German Jews who have become naturalized Americans to return to the Reich. Lieut. Kaufman said that when he last heard of his parents, they were in a concentration camp in Poland.
