Two hundred sticks with razor blade points were confiscated today from rioters in Lwow (Lemberg) following the arrival of the Chief of the Department of Public Security.
Disquieting reports regarding serious excesses in the provinces of Lwow are received here today.
A report says that grave excesses took place last night in Grodek, where the Jews were beaten up and their places of business looted. An official communique issued in this connection states that disturbances were resumed last night towards evening and two were arrested for carrying arms. The police dispersed the rioters.
While the police of Grodek were busily engaged with the anti-Semitic disturbances, eight masked bandits entered the post office and demanded money.
Post office officials offered resistance, fired and killed three. One of the masked figures carried a student’s identification card.
